Coming from out of town? You may want to stay at the Hotel Grand Pacific . Chess rate available $105/night sgl/dbl children stay for free with parent. Quote Victoria City Chess Championship.

The first 5 Out of town players who register before December 4th and stay at the Hotel Grand Pacific will receive 2 free passes each to the Royal BC Wax Museum (valid for multiple entries to the wax museum until Dec 26, 2009).

Three Sections:

· Daniel Myers Cup – awarded to grades 8 – 12 Champion

· Howard Wu Cup – awarded to grades 4 – 7 Champion

· Tim Bethell Cup Grade K – 3 Champion

Register: 9:30 – 9:45am Start: 10:00 am sharp. Finish: 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

Entry fee $15. Format: 5 Rd Swiss or Rd Robin. TC: 25 plus 5sec increment minutes each player. Tie Breaks – 5 min. CMA rated. Blitz knockout. Prizes: Trophies. Light Concession. GRAND PRIX EVENT
